Here is the number one reason why 95% of Network Marketers and Direct Sales Professionals flat out SUCK at marketing. You may be thinking “Bradley, you are just writing catch headlines trying to sell you Network Marking company.” Sorry to disappoint, but I do not have one to sell you! But, here are my thoughts about Network Marketing…

The photographer caught me showcasing my best “Thriller” moves in this action shot. Lol. Yesterday, I had the privilege to speak at the Social Media Bootcamp in Rockford, IL. It is a two and a half day social media marathon for professionals and business owners. In the morning, I kicked off the event with my presentation “Purpose Driven Social Media” and later in the afternoon, I gave a talk on “How to Build a Tremendous Blog and Why.” I had a wonderful engaging audience that I was exceptionally grateful for.
There is a great lineup of speakers for this event including @PRSarahEvans, @LizStrauss, @WillEnglishIV, @InteractiveAmy, @AveryCohen, @PhilipNowak, @JenChicago, @JeffreyAStewart, my good buddy @Williger, and about 10 others. I also have to give a big shout out to Ray Smith and Jen Parness for all the support.

In college, my instructors told me networking was the key to success. In business, my mentors told me “your network equals your net worth.” To be honest with you, until recently, I did not enjoy going to business networking events. It was because I was so sick of giving people the same old sales pitch. I just could not get past seeing every person I met as a dollar sign instead of their true unique value. Once I truly understood that this is not a game of just shaking hands, but building relationships, I started having a blast.
Now, I recommend every young entrepreneur attend minimum one networking event per week. Whether it is a sales presentation, after hours social, or some type of seminar, you have the chance to meet great business minded people face-to-face. While online social networking has brought a whole new dynamic to building relationships, it is still missing the high touch interaction which can never be replaced.

Guy Kawasaki wrote the first business book I ever read. I will correct myself in the video when I say “the first BOOK I ever read.” I hated reading growing up. The first actual book I ever “read,” was part of that Goosebumps series…I know you remember that! I could not put those suckers down. Guy’s book was the first “real” book with applicable business knowledge and probably the first book I CHOSE to read since my youth. I want to know the first business book YOU ever read and about your first entrepreneurial endeavor. Please tell me in the comment box below…

For those who have been sleeping under a rock, I’ll bring you up to speed. The Go-Giver Tour was a road trip that went down a just over a month ago, in which 9 entrepreneurs made their way from Chicago to Orlando to attend Extreme Business Makeovers, a annual event hosted by internationally best selling author Bob Burg and his business partner Thom Scott. The vision of this trip started when 4 out of the box entrepreneurs were touched by the message behind the book the Go-Giver. They conducted a video application process where they selected five young entrepreneurs to join in the cross country journey to inspire, empower and connect with people through the message of this book.

Another great FREE teleconference tonight hosted by Nextvoice247. NEXT WEEK: Stephen Covey! This call was
absolutely jammed packed for two future bestselling authors:
* David Blanchard, CEO, The Og Mandino Group. Ever heard about the little book: “The Greatest Salesmen In the World?” Well it happened to sell 25 million copies. No big deal.
* Kevin Hall, author of the newly completed best seller, Aspire! Finding Your Purpose Through the Power of Words, and Dave’s personal coach. Kevin also worked on a book you may have heard about called the “Franklin Covey Dayplanner,” which sold over 7 million copies.

I was recently involved in an amazing teleconference called the Next Voice You Hear (you can register for future calls) call series, which is hosted by the Nextvoice247. The most recent call brought together two great authors and thought leaders, John Assaraf and Kevin Hall, to inspire, educate and empower emerging leaders and young entrepreneurs.
John and Kevin discussed how important it was to have coaches and mentors in their lives. John addressed he has a health coach, meditation coach and two billionaire business coaches that guide him along his journey. As John was sitting in his home office while speaking on the call and he said that in addition to having his coaches, he also has a virtual mastermind group
