Inc. Magazine has a very similar article in the current edition: http://tr.im/tJVM As the half of the relationship that IS the addicted entrepreneur, I am always surprised at the idea that people would ever actually consider living any other way. It's always fascinating to be reminded of what "normal" means to different people.

Carrie, Have you considered becoming a wingspouse and joining him in his entrepreneur career? You could help him accomplish more in the same amount of time, while sharing in the victories & disappointments together. Check out my blog where I give tips on how to network, etc. to compliment your spouse as a true married team. You and I could probably write some powerful blog posts together.

http://wingspouse.com/blog

Bradley,

Being in business with my husband is rewarding but very challenging. It does not fit in with the typical understanding of marriage. There are very few moments when work is not the topic of discussion. I've learned that when Tim has the chance to take a break, I do the same, and we make sure to avoid talking about work at all costs. But those times are few and far between. I've learned that leisure time is simply going to be dotted with bits of work. You just have to be ok with that.

This is a very interesting article. I have found myself quite hesitant to get into a relationship because of the fact I am so passionate and consumed into what I do. At this point in my life, I would find it difficult to make something work already with all the ups and downs I go through.

Carrie, what is it like being in business together with your husband. How do you both separate work time from leisure?
