Great leaders recognize that surrounding themselves with talent is critical to success. That has a lot to do with recognizing ones strengths and weakness, leveraging the strengths and shoring up the weaknesses.

I so appreciate the spirit in which you state: “I am extremely lucky that we crossed paths, even while believing in entirety that it was meant to be”.

However, you also say this: “I would not be here today if it wasn’t for all the great leaders I surround myself with.”

That last part is paramount. YOU SURROUND yourself. That's all about positioning. If you did not take that step, well, you would not be surrounded.

Wayne Gretzky, arguably the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates had the following to say when asked about his incredible success.

“I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.”

and

“A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.”

Again, its all about positioning. Luck comes to those who work hard & work smart. Doing so will inevitably place you in the right place, at the right time!
