refollow Refollow: Arguably the Best Twitter Relationship Management Tool

A big concern for people when they first get into Twitter is the time management issue.  The way Twitter has been built allows for virtually any application to be created to enhance your experience.  If you are aggressively networking on Twitter trying to establish your presence, cleaning up non-active Tweeps is very important.  The numbers don’t mean jack.  What matters is how many of your followers actually listen and engage in your conversations.

Recently, I have came across a tool called Refollow, which is arguably the best and most comprehensive follow/relationship management tools out there. Refollow helps you discover, manage, and protect your Twitter social circle.  On the website, you can log it using your Twitter account and it will take you to a page when you can view and sort all of your friends and followers.

Let’s Just Call It Good Luck

3385213358 66e6cc90ea 300x199 Lets Just Call It Good Luck

I used to think there is no such thing as luck.  Actually, I still partially do.  I have come to the understanding that we create our own luck.  I think it was Samuel Goldwyn who defined luck the best when he said, “The harder I work, the luckier I get.”

While reading Jim Collins classic best-selling book, Good to Great, I have learned most of the CEO’s of great companies (level 5 leaders) attribute their success to good luck and the blessing of being surrounded with great people.  Now, we know to get to that level of success that their is a little more than luck involved.  Obviously, these are incredibly talented, incredibly driven individuals, but they don’t seem to take credit for their success.  ...Continue Reading

Just My Little Tribute to Michael Jackson

bradley will

mj872 Just My Little Tribute to Michael JacksonAs we all know, yesterday we lost an Icon.  Michael Jackson, someone who has most likely influenced many of you reading this, has left a legacy that will last until the end of time.

As I was driving to go scuba diving this morning, I heard his songs on almost every radio station.  It put a smile on my face and left me in a great mood.  The stories being told over the air made it clear how truly legendary he was.  Here are my thoughts and my tribute to the King of Pop.  After the video, look below it and listen to the Michael Jackson Tribute Radio and share your memories and favorite songs in the comment section.

Great New Way to Shorten, Analyze and Promote Links with Su.pr

bradley will

suprpic Great New Way to Shorten, Analyze and Promote Links with Su.pr Just about everyone in the social networking space uses URL shortening applications.  Now, I know there are tons of sites out there that do this, but this one is a true gem.

Su.pr is a great new application by StumbleUpon (someone who we already know, love and trust) where you can shorten, track and promote your URL’s.  Su.pr is tied to StumbleUpon and your users have to capability to rate and review your posted links.  It also has a time saving feature allowing you to schedule your posts for a later time and date for Facebook and Twitter.  It encumbers many tools that normally multiple sites are needed to accomplish the same results.

You can see the functionality of the interface here: http://su.pr/9rtTZk.

What was the first business book you ever read?

bradley will

Guy Kawasaki wrote the first business book I ever read.  I will correct myself in the video when I say “the first BOOK I ever read.”  I hated reading growing up.  The first actual book I ever “read,” was part of that Goosebumps series…I know you remember that!  I could not put those suckers down.  Guy’s book was the first “real” book with applicable business knowledge and probably the first book I CHOSE to read since my youth.   I want to know the first business book YOU ever read and about your first entrepreneurial endeavor.  Please tell me in the comment box below…

Come learn from Guy Kawasaki Thursday June 25th @ 7:30 pm for FREE.

No, I Will NOT Join Your Spymaster Ring!

bradley will

Twitter has seen a rise in “noise” over the past few months.  Many marketers chase an easy buck or try to push their product or service through the direct message feature on Twitter.  My friend Darren Williger recently sent me this video making fun of the whole situation…

“I don’t wanna be a spymaster.  Talk, add some value, share a little bit, maybe uh, a put quote or something about yourself or something funny.  Show me a picture, I love art.  I love people being themselves…”

Darren goes on a rant in this video about an overabundance of direct message spam he receives.  He pours it out in this video while playing the guitar and I hope you can see the humor in it.  Many don’t know that Darren is a recovering Dell sales executive, a below average musician and is actually a comedian.
